~ GET A LIFE! READ GETTING A LIFE EVEN IF YOU'RE DEAD! ~

Welcome to any first time visitors and welcome back to all the rest of you! Today I have Pierrot and Kendra from GETTING A LIFE EVEN IF YOU'RE DEAD here to tell us a little bit about themselves.

Pierrot- Tell me about yourself.

I’m eighteen and live in Paris with my parents and our dog Bruno. I play in a band, hang out at vintage record shops, and read gothic novels.

Has life handed you any major disappointments?

My younger brother Loic recently died. I am partially to blame for his death.

How did you two meet? What was your first impression of Kendra?

We met in a cemetery, the day I buried my brother Loic. I was crying over my brother’s grave and suddenly noticed Kendra was standing there watching me. For the first time, I didn’t even care I was crying in front of

a girl. I left without either us saying a word, yet I felt comforted.

What is it that you want out of life?

To go back a month in time and do things differently.

If you had an unexpected free day, what would you do with it?

If Kendra and I had met under different circumstances, I would take her out of the cemetery and show her Paris. We wouldn’t hang out at the Eiffel Tower or any clichéd tourist attractions, except for the Louvre. She loves art, so I would take her to see the Mona Lisa for the first time. I would introduce her to the Paris I love. We would go to a reading at my favorite used book store, see my favorite Beatles tribute band, and eat chocolate banana crepes along the Seine.

Kendra- Tell me about yourself?

I’m a seventeen-year-old high school senior. I grew up in San Francisco, but I have lived in Chicago the past three years with my mom. My dad also lives in Chicago and recently remarried. After I graduate, I plan to move back to San Francisco and study art history at Berkeley.

What’s your family like and how does your upbringing affect you now?

My mom is a photographer and is gone more than she is home. I grew up closer to my dad and my grandma, who died a few years ago. My mom and I have an emotionally estranged relationship so I was far from thrilled I had to spend a month with her in Paris. Yeah, Paris would be great if I were visiting the Louvre, rather than cemeteries.

What do you like about Pierrot?

When I met Pierrot he was depressed and could care less about his appearance. Even though I think he’s totally hot, I wasn’t attracted to his looks at first. He’s not afraid to show his emotions. Yet at the same time, he’s mysterious. He expresses everything from anger, to fear, sadness, remorse, and guilt. Who doesn’t love a guy who can cry in front of a girl? He’s an avid reader, same as me, which enables us to connect. The fact that he has read books my male classmates have likely never even heard of is very sexy. Best of all, he’s an awesome listener. He truly cares about what I have to say. I find myself opening up to Pierrot, telling him things I’ve never confided in anyone about. He in turn confides in me and this leads to our ultimate connection.

What is it that you want out of life?

I’m not sure. But I think I’m about to figure it out...

BLURB~

If you died, could you live with your regrets?

When Kendra’s mother drags her to a creepy Paris cemetery for work, the last person Kendra expects to see is Amber, her best friend who moved away three years earlier. Amber helped Kendra through a dark time, and Amber’s departure was just one more loss for Kendra. Amber was Kendra’s confidante but it turns out Amber failed to share her biggest secret: she was dead.

Amber never planned to disclose her true identity to Kendra, but a boy’s life is at stake. Amber is suddenly unable to connect with troubled kids and she needs Kendra to console Pierrot, a despondent boy who holds the answers to the suspicious death of his brother, Loic. Although Loic needs closure to cross over, the truth about his death might impact everyone’s future, including Kendra’s, since she has fallen for Pierrot, the mysterious boy and murder suspect.

But dead or alive, there is no going back…

    3. Lol, MJ, huge mosquitoes? I don't recall that but then again I'm from Wisconsin and the mosquito is our state bird and my parents live on Mosquito Hill, so I'm probably immune to them. :-)
